A paid landing page QA checklist
A practical preflight for campaign URLs, responsive conversion routes, offers, and tracking.
Use the exact campaign URL
Test the destination with representative campaign values. Check the final origin and path, then verify that utm_campaign, gclid, or other required values survive each redirect. A working homepage says little about a campaign deep link.
Check the visible offer
Compare the live headline, price qualifier, and offer wording with what the ad promises. Pick a short, stable phrase to monitor instead of an entire paragraph that changes frequently.
Try both viewports
A desktop CTA may be hidden by mobile CSS or covered by navigation. Verify that the selected link or form is visible and actionable in a fresh 390px mobile viewport and a desktop viewport. A read-only check does not verify form delivery.
State the consent condition
Tracking observations differ before and after consent. Record whether the baseline expects a fresh session or an explicit approved consent action. Never interpret a blocked consent state as an absent tracking integration.
Keep evidence with the approval
Record when the observation happened, which approval it tested, and what was outside scope. Before a release, schedule a change window; after it, retest rather than approving whatever the new page happens to contain.
